MVA I-81

Admin, January 28

WCLSC was dispatched to an MVA in the area of exit 10 NB at 1930 hours. WCLSC was called to assist WCFR with 2 ALS units. Two patients were transported to a local hospital and their condition is unknown at this time. The crash was the result of a medical emergency, unfortunately.

Chimney Fire

Admin, January 27

At approximately 22:20 hrs, WCLSC was dispatched to the 21000 block of Parks Mill Road for a chimney fire. Upon arrival, fire was visible from the chimney. Abingdon and Green Springs Fire Depts. worked to extinguish fire and managed to do so, minimizing damage to the residence.

Single Car MVA

Admin, January 07

In the early morning hours, the Crew was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at exit 19 of I-81. Upon arrival, a car was found in median, fortunately there were no injuries. According to witnesses, another car slid off the road, in efforts to miss a jack-knifed tractor trailer, and hit the car that landed in the median.

Structure Fire

Admin, January 05

Just after midnight, WCLSC was dispatched, along with Abingdon Fire Dept, Meadowview FIre dept, and Damascus Fire dept, to the 27000 block of Honey Locust Road for a house fire. Upon arrival, crews found the home fully involved. All the occupants were able to get out and no injuries were reported. Unfortunately the home was a total loss. Train vs. Trash Truck

Admin, December 19

At 1122 today, crews were dispatched to the Kenwarn Lane area for a train accident involving a trash truck. Upon arrival, crews found the trash truck to be crushed and on its side. The driver had been ejected. Crews worked to stabilize the patient and he was flown to a local trauma center, and is now listed in serous condition. ... (Full Story & Photos)
