The Washington County Life Saving Crew provides Emergency Medical Services in Washington County, Virginia.  We rely heavily on financial contributions from our community. These contributions help us to respond to over 3,000 emergencies each year. Even if you or your loved ones have never needed our services, you can rest easy knowing that we are there for you 365 days a year. Our continued operation is a direct result of your donations and we appreciate your consideration.

Truck vs. Tree

Admin, April 22

At approximately 0630, WCLSC was dispatched to the 17000 block of Cleveland Road for an MVA with unknown injuries. Upon arrival crews found a truck towing a boat, head on into a tree. Fortunately everyone was out of the vehicle, and no one suffered any major injury. The cause is still under investigation at this time.

Car Vs. Pole

Admin, April 19

At approximately 1105 hours this morning, WCLSC, APD, and AFD, were dispatched to the 900 block of Colonial Rdf, for a car into a telephone pole. Upon arrival crews found a single vehicle that hit the telephone pole head-on, causing the pole to break. The driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Vehicle on its Top

Admin, April 18

At 2033 hours, WCLSC and Brumley Gap Fire Dept. were dispatch to Porterfield highway, at John Douglas Wayside, for an overturned vehicle. Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle on its top. It reportedly had been traveling southbound when the driver lost control, and the vehicle rolled. There were two occupants. Single Vehicle MVA

Admin, April 18

At approximately 1906 hours, WCLSC, along with Abingdon Fire Department and Abingdon Police Department, was dispatched to the intersection of Valley Street and Pecan Street for a single vehicle MVA; car vs. telephone pole. Upon arrival, crews found a jeep with a significant amount of damage to the front, however the driver was not injured. Crews remained on scene until the vehicle could be towed. ...
