At 1725 hrs, the tones dropped for a horse and buggy accident off of Russell Road. Dispatch advised that there were 2 pts. With this information, WCLSC requested assistance, due to 2 ambulances already being out on other calls. Rescue 51 and QRU 52 responded to the scene. One pt was flown and the other was transported by ground to the hospital to be evalutated for injuries sustained after they had been fallen from the buggy. After some investigation into what happened, it appeared that the horse had been spooked by a snake. The horse ran from from the scene and was caght on Main St. Thankfully, the horse sustained no injuries, and it was taken back to its stable.
