Flooding Causes Major Traffic Hazards in Wash Co. VA

- Sunday brought heavy storms that caused flooding throughout the area, which then caused heavy traffic hazards. The pictures show, are on Old Saltworks Rd., between the intersection of Hillman Hwy. and Old Saltworks Rd and Walden Rd. and Old Saltworks Rd. MVA Rollover Assist with WCFR
MAY 19
- This afternoon, Ambulance 56 responded with WCFR Vehicle Rescue Unit 106 to an MVA rollover with injuries, on Lee Highway near exit 10 off I-81. Wellmont One Medical EVAC, responded to fly one patient and WCLSC Amb 59 was called to transport a second patient. Great teamwork and quick response from all agencies! FireFighter Rehab Program to Begin

- Today, 4 members from WCLSC accompanied the Abingdon Fire Dept. to the Bristol VA fire training center for the FireFighter I live burn training. While there, the members provided a much needed service in the firefighting world; rehab.
